Scope and Contents 10th Mountain Division Database Records include basic records for over 32,000 individuals who served with the Division during World War II. A special committee began work on the database project in 1996. The committee acquired copies of all relevant primary documents archived in the Resource Center at the Denver Public Library and at the National Archives in Maryland -- plus hundreds of documents provided by veterans. John H. Pierpont oral history

Discusses Pierpont at Camp Hale in December of 1942. Recalls drills and practices in 20 degrees below zero weather. Went to Kiska in July of 1943. Served in Italy taking part in the assault on Mt. Belvedere. Talks about men being killed by minefields and grenades that Germans lobbed when they were pretending to surrender. Recalls partisans who killed Germans at night and his furlough in Rome. Concludes with post war information about the 10th Mountain Division Association.

Samuel J. Morrison oral history

During this radio interview, Morrison recounts a variety of experiences he had with the 10th Mountain Division both during and after World War II. Interview touches on a variety of subjects including his enlistment and training with the 10th, his experiences on the Italian front, and his relationship with the 10th Mountain Division after the War.
