Biographical / Historical
Internationally-known beautician and Five Points Neighborhood of Denver business woman. Born in Nashville, Arkansas in 1925. Graduated Velvetex College of Cosmetology (Little Rock, Arkansas (1947). Attended Duncan’s Beauty Academy (Denver) in 1948. Worked as a cosmetologist at Anderson’s Beauty Salon (Denver, Colo.) from 1949-1954. Owns and operates Charlene’s House of Beauty at 2820 Welton Street in the Five Points Neighborhood.
