Biographical / Historical
Gail Diola Ford was born September 28, 1903 in Greenfield, Missouri to parents Henry L. Hoyl and Ella Johnson. The family later moved to Denver, Colorado in 1924. She married Lance S. Ford on April 14, 1936. Ford worked as a nanny and domestic worker to families in the Denver area. She later worked for the Veteran’s Administration until she retired. She was a member of the Elks Mountain Temple #174, The American Legion Auxiliary, World War I Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary. She was a sister of the Ordained Eastern Stars, Evergreen Chapter and a member of the Masonic Widows Club. She was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She passed away on August 13, 2002.
