The collection contains a diary of journey from Dubuque, Iowa to Volcano, California from 1852. Kept by Thomas Brinley Rickey and Cordellia (or Cordeloa) Ann Rickey Bradley. Also typed transcript (195-?) by Edna Clingan Hanson and Bernice Bostick Hoover. Caption title of transcript: Rickey diary of crossing the Plains, 1852.
