Scope and Contents

Collection contains two scrapbooks with mementos of family, school and social activities in the form of programs, invitations, greeting cards, newspaper clippings, photos, telegrams. Scrapbook 1 (1908-1917) covers youthful activities in Boy Scouts, Denver Athletic Club, and Denver East Side High School (graduated 1917). -- Scrapbook 2 (1917-1934) includes material from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, where he was a student and then on the faculty 1929-1942.

Dart Wantland was a Denver, Colo. resident; geophysicist with U.S. Bureau of Reclamation 1946-1968. B. Mar. 12, 1898 Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Charles E. Wantland, railroad land agent; D. May 6, 1973 Denver.
