Scope and Contents
The two albums contain views of National Forests, rangers' stations, fire towers, and early forest rangers at their jobs, personal snapshots of people and journeys around the U.S.; most images are from Colorado and Wyoming.

Biographical / Historical
Smith Riley worked for the U.S. Forest Service during the 1910's and 1920's in Colorado and Wyoming. He compiled these two albums which cover his career with the Forest Service.
