Biographical / Historical

The Eagle Mining & Milling Company was the first to build a mill to process the complex ore from the Iron Mask and other mines near Belden, Colorado. The mill was located in a canyon on the Eagle River. S.N. Hicks was the owner of the property and C.H. Hanington managed the construction and operation. In 1915 the property was sold to the New Jersey Zinc Company.
