Scope and Contents
Views of the Denver Tramway Company, Denver City Tramway Company, Denver Tramway Corporation, and the Denver RTD (Regional Transportation District); portraits of DTC and RTD employees, images of streetcars, buses, wrecks, buildings and facilities. The album contains RTD transfers and passes, blueprints of DTC streetcars, an advertisement for the Laclede Car Co., and sundry railroad locomotives. Downtown Denver buildings and landmarks include the Mizpah Arch, Tabor Opera House, State Capitol, among others.

Biographical / Historical
Maurice F. Craney was the last president of the Denver Tramway Corp. He began work for the company in 1948 as superintendent of buses and automotive equipment, in 1954 he became supervisor of the mechanical department. He was elected vice president and general manager of the company in 1967 and later served as president until the company was absorbed into the Regional Transportation District.
