Biographical / Historical

Emile Granier (born circa 1829; France) was the proprietor of the Christina Lake Mining Works, a gold placer mine, in Atlantic City, Fremont County, Wyo. in the 1880s-1890s. He also owned numerous mining claims in the South Paso Mining District, and other acreage in Fremont County and property in Lander, and Atlantic City, Wyo. Due to ill health during a trip to Paris, France in 1894, Granier authorized his lawyer, George Albert Zimmerman to act as his representative in the handling of Granier's affairs in Fremont County.
