Biographical / Historical

Emile Granier (born circa 1829; France) was the proprietor of the Christina Lake Mining Works, a gold placer mine, in Atlantic City, Fremont County, Wyo. in the 1880s-1890s. He also owned numerous mining claims in the South Paso Mining District, and other acreage in Fremont County and property in Lander, and Atlantic City, Wyo. Due to ill health during a trip to Paris, France in 1894, Granier authorized his lawyer, George Albert Zimmerman to act as his representative in the handling of Granier's affairs in Fremont County. Jennette Zimmerman was George Zimmerman's wife.
