Biographical / Historical

Kirby received his B.A. degree from Yale University in 1971, and J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1975. He was Senior Counsel for the Wilderness Society from 1980 to 1987, then director of their Southeast Regional Office from 1988 to 1998. He then became Senior Advisor for the Wilderness Society.
