Scope and Contents

Collection contains history and genealogy of the Clow family; original photographs (two photo negatives, five tintypes, albumen prints, collodion printing-out paper prints, and gelatin silver prints); studio portraits and snapshots of David Clow Sr., his wife Mary Ann Clow and their children and some of their descendants. Represented in the collection are; David Clow, II, Nancy Anne Clow, Richard Love Clow, Edward Clow, Archie Clow, Lee R. Clow, Edda Clow, Mary Clow, Wallace Clow, Britty Chester Clow, David Clow, III, Lyle Clow, Leda Clow, Chester Clow, Betty Pearl Clow, Della Clow, Ida Clow, Myrtle Clow, Effie Tweedy Clow, Eugene Cook, Blanche Clow, Beryl Clow, Ethel Clow, Thelma Clow, and Beulah Clow.

Biographical / Historical

David Clow (1834-1882) and his wife Mary Ann (1840-1919) arrived in Colorado in 1860. They lived and pioneered in the Kiowa area.
