Biographical / Historical

Born Clarice Estabrook in Dayton, Ohio, 1875. Married Jarvis Richards, a Dartmouth graduate and minister from New Hampshire in 1900. Moved to Jarvis's ranch in Elbert County, Colorado. Moved to Denver in 1907 where Clarice participated in a number of ladies social clubs. Wrote A Tenderfoot Bride: Tales from an Old Ranch (1920) about her experiences moving to a Colorado ranch. Died in 1949, Denver, Colo.
