Biographical / Historical
Eleanor Gehres was the manager of the Western History Department, Denver (Colo.) Public Library (1974-1999). She was born in 1932, Riverside, N.J. and died in 2000, Denver, Colo. Gehres was a graduate of Mary Washington College, University of Virginia. She also taught school in Norfolk, Va. and in Colorado Springs, Colo.
