Scope and Contents
Collection contains two scrapbooks with newspaper clippings of social events in Denver (Colo.), photos of family and friends, personal papers, obituaries, cards, letters; also includes correspondence and clippings concerning Denver Tramway Company (1895-1971). CD-Rom (2015) contains copies of photograph with list of identifications.

Biographical / Historical
Estella Maude Adams was born in Iowa in 1875. She was a Denver Socialite married to James Adams (1875-1951), who was the Superintendent of the Denver Tramway Company. They were friends with such members of Denver Society as Mayor Stapleton, the Olinger, and the Elitch families, among others.

Physical Description
The scrapbooks are in poor condition, pages falling out, deteriorating paper, loose photos. They need processing and preservation/conservation work.
