Scope and Contents
Collection contains scrapbooks and films of travels in Europe and the United States; some personal correspondence, Christmas cards from Republican Party officials, invitation to President Ronald Reagan's inauguration, photographs, photo albums. Included are Joseph Strank's vacation snapshots and slides of Colo., Calif., Nev., Alaska, Mexico, and Europe.

Biographical / Historical
Born 1900 in Tours, France, emigrated to the United States (1929). Married Robert R. James of Houston, Tex. (1935); later married to Joseph P. Strank, Denver, Colo. (1958). Red Cross volunteer during World War II; moved to Estes Park, Colo.; eventually lived in Denver. Traveled extensively throughout Europe and United States. Died in Denver, Colo. on May 13, 1995.
