Born Hatfield, Massachusetts. A.B., Wesleyan University of Connecticut, student New York State Library School, Albany N.Y. Instructor in Romance languages, Wesleyan University and University of Illinois. Librarian for the Minnesotta State Historical Society and Humboldt State College. Organizer Oregon Nature Lovers' Club (Wiyeast Club) and western representative for National Parks Association.
