Biographical / Historical

Robert F. Moran was born in Pennsylvania in 1925. He completed one year of high school and was working as a filling station attendant when he enlisted in the Army on May 11, 1944 at New Cumberland, Pa. He joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Swift, Tex., where he was assigned to the 85th Infantry Regiment, Service Company. Later, he engaged in combat operations in Italy.
