Biographical / Historical
Dillman was born in Germany. Fled the Nazis prior to World War II and enlisted in the U.S. Army at New York City, New York on May 3, 1943. Married at the time of his enlistment, and had completed some post-graduate work in civil engineering. Served with the 10th Mountain Division's Mountain Training Group. Stationed at Camp Hale, Colorado and Camp Swift Texas, transferring out before the Division deployed to Italy.
