Biographical / Historical

August J. Teborek Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1914. He joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colorado and later served at Camp Swift, Texas before being sent to Italy. Teborek was assigned to Headquarters of the 10th Mountain Division Artillery. He earned a Bronze Star medal for his service in the Apennine Mountains and the Po River Valley in spring 1945. Teborek attained the rank of Technician Grade 4. He died in Chicago, Illinois in 1996.
