Biographical / Historical

George B. Walker came from Iowa to Colorado in 1891. He initially prospected for gold before becoming a Colorado legislator from Ouray and the mayor of Ironton, Colorado. Walker was married to Edna Miller and together they had two children: Gertrude and Harold S. Walker.

Gertrude Walker married John Miller (1899-1955) in 1935. Gertrude Walker Miller then married William Harvey Hooper in 1960.
