Biographical / Historical

Julius G. Wenger was born on February 11, 1926 in Palo Alto, California. When he enlisted in the Army on July 7, 1944 he was living in Connecticut. Wenger received artillery training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and then joined the 10th Mountain Division. He was assigned to the 604th Field Artillery Battalion, Battery C. He served at Camp Swift, Texas and in Italy. Following the War, Wenger received his B.S. degree from the University of Connecticut.
