Biographical / Historical

Harvey Wieprecht (b.1923) joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and was assigned to Company A of the 86th Infantry Regiment, but later served with Company F. Wieprecht also served at Camp Swift, Tex. before being sent to Italy. He was awarded the Bronze Star medal for his actions at Mt. Mantino in April 1945 and attained the rank of Private First Class.
