Biographical / Historical

Rex Carsrud was born in Wyo. in 1910 and enlisted in the Army in 1943 at Denver, Colo. He had completed one year of college, had an occupation of salesman and was married at the time of his enlistment. Carsrud joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. serving also at Camp Swift, Tex. He was assigned to Company L of the 86th Infantry Battalion attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
