Biographical / Historical

Robert Livermore Jr. joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and also served at Fort Ord, Calif., Kiska Island, Alaska, Camp Swift, Tex. and in Italy. He was assigned to Company F of the 87th Infantry Regiment, later transferred to the Mountain Training Group; Headquarters of the 2nd Battalion of the 87th Infantry; and Headquarters of the 10th. Livermore attained the rank of Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star medal for his action in the Apennines and the Po Valley. He died in 1991.
