Biographical / Historical

Organization founded in 1978 by a group of visual and performing artists. Through the years, the council has sponsored numerous hispanic based events: Cinco de Mayo celebrations, El Dia de Los Mueros (day of the dead), Chile Harvest Festival, Cultural Perspective public art projects, and has received numerous awards: Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts (2002), Embrace the World Award (2004). Also runs a gallery space and cultural center in Denver, Colo. that displays art and provides space for art educators.
