Biographical / Historical

Neil H. Foley was born in Massachusetts on July 16, 1907 and enlisted in the Army at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas on July 7, 1942. At the time of enlistment he was married, had completed three years of college and working as a general industry clerk. Foley joined the 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Lewis, Washington and was assigned to the 10th Mountain Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop, later serving with Company L, 87th Infantry Regiment and Company A, 86th Infantry Regiment. He died on April 2, 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
