Biographical / Historical

Russell V. Feltmeyer was born on November 22, 1924. He served in Company B of the 10th Mountain Division’s Anti Tank Regiment. Feltmeyer began his service in the 10th during training at Camp Hale, Colorado, and continued to train at Camp Swift, Texas, before being sent to Italy. He achieved the rank of Private First Class during his service. After returning to the United States he became a member of the 10th Mountain Association, the American Legion and the V.F.W. Pfc Feltmeyer died on June 18, 2010 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
