Biographical / Historical

Thomas P. Mooney was born on August 13, 1920. He joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Swift, Tex. as a replacement soldier and was assigned to Company L of the 86th Mountain Infantry Regiment. During combat operations in Italy, Mooney was awarded the Bronze Star medal for his service during the Apennines and Po River campaigns in Spring 1945. He died in St. Paul, Minn. on October 10, 2003.
