Scope and Contents

Collection contains: color transparencies and 35mm slides, b/w and color photographs, b/w and color negatives, post cards and notes documenting the Motisher's interest in Colo. scenery, locations, and seasons. Some images of Ariz., Wyo., North and South Dakota are also included. Many images have accompanying technical documentation related to image location, date and time of exposure, lens used, etc.

Biographical / Historical

Charles Motisher was born in N.Y. in 1914. He worked as an attorney for Transamerica and during his free time and on vacations he was, with the assistance of his wife Havis Motisher (1910-2003), an avid, amateur photographer of the Western United States.
