Biographical / Historical

Rolf W. Guthey was born in N.Y. on February 24, 1922. He joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Swift, Tex. where he was assigned to Company L, 3rd Battalion of the 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment. Guthey was wounded in action on April 15, 1945 and also received a Bronze Star medal for his actions in the Apennines and Po River campaigns.
