Biographical / Historical

Adelante Mujer, Inc. is a Colo. registered nonprofit organization that began as a movement in 1979. This movement was designed to help Latina women gain entry and succeed in mainstream education, employment and economic systems, while retaining their cultural values. Leaders of this movement organized statewide bi-annual conferences that provided a forum where Latinas from diverse backgrounds could share their experiences and gain insights from experts in the areas of cultural leadership, education, employment, and job training.
