Biographical / Historical
Raymond F. Doiron was born in Massachusetts in 1925 the son of Augustine and Marietta Doiron. He completed four years of high school before enlisting in the Army at Boston, Massachusetts July 7, 1943. He joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colorado where he was assigned to the Headquarters Company, 604th Field Artillery Battalion (Pack). Doiron attained the rank of corporal before his death February 12, 1945 in a jeep accident near Mt. Belvedere, Italy. Raymond Doiron is buried at the Florence American Cemetery, Italy.
