Biographical / Historical

Harrison L. Coleman was born December 1, 1924. He enlisted in the Army on March 18, 1943 and joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to the 86th Infantry Regiment, Company B and remained with this unit throughout the war. Coleman was later stationed at Camp Swift, Tex.; Camp Carson, Colo. and in Italy. He was wounded ic action near Sassomolare, Italy on March 4, 1945. Coleman later served as Southeast Chapter President of the National Association of the 10th Mountain Division (1984-1986) and as the Association's Executive Director (1992-1998).
