The collection contains examples of b&w and color studio portraits generated at the O. W. Fischer between 1930-1965. Some portraits are identified and dated. Nitrate negatives have been frozen for preservation.

Biographical / Historical
Born June 9, 1897 in Houston, Tex. By 1918 worked in the B.S. Hopkins photograph studio located in the Daniels and Fisher department store, Denver, Colo. Later established his own studio in about 1930 called the O. W. Fischer studio in the Denver Dry Goods department store once located on California Street, between 15th and 16th Streets, Denver, Colo. Fischer died in Denver, Colo. in January 1981.
