Biographical / Historical

George Brittain Clark was born in Rutherford, N.C. on August 31, 1914 and enlisted in the Army on March 7, 1942 at Fort Bragg, N.C. At the time of his enlistment, he was unmarried, had completed one year of high school and working as a serviceman in a filling station. Clark joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to Company A of the Quartermaster Battalion. He died on May 14, 1988 in Asheville, N.C.
