Collection contains a large group of color slides, as well as some b/w negatives and b/w photographs documenting railroad cars, locomotives, locations, stations, and the facilities of numerous railroad companies throughout the United States (ca. 1970s-1990s).

Biographical / Historical

Agostino "Augie" Mastrogiuseppi was on born November 7, 1939 in Morgantown, W.V. He later moved to Colo. (1970) to work at the University of Colorado. Mastrogiuseppi earned an MLS degree from the University of Denver and In 1974, joined the staff as curator of photographs in the Department of Western History and Genealogy at the Denver Public Library. He was very interested in railroads and railroad history and belonged to a number of related organizations. Mastrogiuseppi died on December 1, 1996 in Denver, Colo. and was buried in Moscow, Idaho.
