Collection of extracts from Reckmeyer's 1857-1871 diary having to do with his stay in Colorado (1863-1867). Also copies of receipts and memoranda on mining claims (1859-1869). Commentary and marginalia by son, Clarence Reckmeyer (1876-1955).

Henry Reckmeyer was born on October 21, 1838. He died on September 15, 1900 in Dodge County, Neb. Reckmeyer lived in Colo. during the gold rush.
