Collection contains a 79 pages hand written acount telling of Hughes everyday experiences and hazards of being a trainman; wrecks, derailments, weather conditions; "the trouble and grief that train and engine crews have in getting over the road." Includes photorgraphs of a model of a Colorado Midland No. 9 engine and tender made by Hughes.
