Biographical / Historical
Robert W. "Bob" Audretsch, B.A., M.S.L.S., held positions as librarian 1970-1987 and park ranger 1988-2009. He published the monographs Shaping the Park and Saving the Boys: the Civilian Conservation Corps at Grand Canyon, 1933-1942 (Dog Ear Publishing, 2011) and We Still Walk in Their Footprint: The Civilian Conservation Corps in Northern Arizona, 1933-1942 (Dog Ear Publishing, 2013) and the book Grand Canyon's Phantom Ranch (Arcadia Publishing, 2012). He is co-author with Sharon Hunt of The Civilian Conservation Corps in Arizona (Arcadia Publishing, 2014). His most recent book is Selected Grand Canyon Area Hiking Routes, Including the Little Colorado River and Great Thumb (Dog Ear Publishing, 2014). He has published 28 articles in the fields of library science, sports, and history. He is currently researching his next monograph on the CCC in Colorado. He resides in Lakewood, Colorado.
