Scope and Contents
Collection contains Most of these materials concern Seattle Counseling Service, “Dykes with Baggage” cartoons, correspondence related to her work in Pulps, Lavender University and courses taught therein, as well as activities lebsian prom and plays, writing for lesbians in CO newspapers, writings from the first women’s studies course, personal diaries, and photos. (c. 1966 - 1995). This collection provides evidence for lesbian life in Colorado from 1980 - present, as well as cultural, social, and political views of Robin Cohen. Also included are three video presentations "Lesbian Pulp Fiction: My Life in the Pulps" (1 MP4 153 MB), "Covid Year 2020" (1 MP4, 245 MB) and "My Cartoons" ( 1 MP4, 17.3 MB).

Biographical / Historical
Robin Cohen was born in Albay, N.Y. in 1954. She later moved and grew up in Chicago, Ill. Cohen went the to University of Illinois as an undergraduate, where she studied psychology. She later studied counseling before working on a Master's in Information Systems. Cohen worked at the Seattle Counseling service for sexual minorities, helped to found the Lavender University, and helped to found women's rugby in the US.
