Biographical / Historical
The Young Musicians Foundation of Colorado (YMF) was established in 1984 by Dr. Walter F. Hellmich. The non-profit organization assists young musicians in pursuit of professional performance careers in classical music. Their mission is to provide funding, performance opportunities and professional mentorships to young musicians. In 2021 the organization is no longer active, but has established an endowment through the Denver Young Artists Orchestra.
