Biographical / Historical
The Denver Gay Men's Chorus (DGMC) was founded in 1982. To date, the chorus has performed over 300 concerts and has a 140+ member ensemble. The organization's goal is to foster acceptance and tolerance for LGBTQ individuals throughout the greater Denver area and along Colorado's Front Range communities. DGMC's first performance took place in 1982 at the now demolished Aladdin Theatre, 2000 East Colfax Avenue. The Chorus has participated jointly in events throughout the U.S. and Canada with other gay men's choruses from major U.S. cities.
