The key to using the W. H. Wiley Records is the plat index located in box seven. The index includes survey numbers, names of claims and locations of plats. The first column of plats has a letter and a number. The letter refers to the plat book and the number is the page number in the plat book. The second column of plats is numbered 1 – 1600 (with some missing numbers). Harrington added these numbers for plats he drew.
