Logging operations in Western U.S. National Forests photo collection
1912-1931: The bulk of the photographs in the album consist of logging and thinning operations conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Forest Service in National Forest areas in Wyo., S.D., and Colo. Some timber milling, processing, and transport operations are also depicted as are lumber camps, support staff and operations, local towns and buildings. Many photographs are identified and dated.
