(1930s-1990s), established during prohibition by two sons of a North Denver grocer and bootlegger, Raffaele "Ralph" Smaldone. Eventually five of the six Smaldone brothers: Clyde, Eugene, Anthony, Charles, and Clarence Smaldone participated in running the families gambling and bootlegging operations.
