Scope and Contents

The collection of letters recieved by the Budisavljevich family and written by their relatives in Croatia provides insight into the immgrant family experience in Las Animas County, Trinidad and the Globeville neighborhood of Denver. Correspondence spans 1906-1937.

Some letters have been translated in 2015 by a staff member at Denver Public Library.

Scope and Contents Collection contains translations and copies of Burtscher's 1985 memoir: "A Report from the other side: an historical document of WWII, describing the combat history of the German 4th High Mountain Battalion and its engagement with the 10th Mountain Division, U.S. Army, in Italy, February 1945" by Hans Burtscher (translated by Robert L. Scope and Contents

Anonymous ms. account in French concerning colonization and commercial development of French Louisiana. One theory attributes it to M. Hubert, commissioner general in Louisiana. Accompanied by an English translation, scholarly commentary, and information about donor, Edward L. Berthoud. Collection also available on microfilm (C MSS Mflm202).
